Erik Weihenmayer, the first blind person to summit Mount Everest, urged graduates in his Commencement address to reach into the unknown and be the "alchemists" to drive global change.

Our students are our North Star, and as we gather here tonight to celebrate, I hope the pride we all feel only begins to reflect the pride you feel in yourselves. Every bit of applause, every congratulatory word and embrace, every moment of recognition is truly yours. Soak it in and enjoy it. You’ve certainly earned it.

After seven years of impactful leadership at the University of Arizona, Dr. Michael Dake will step away from his responsibilities as Senior Vice President for Health Sciences, effective immediately.

Sanghi is one of 53 college students selected for the prestigious scholarship, which is awarded every year to students intending to enter government work or public service.

The U of A men's wheelchair basketball team took home its first national championship win in March and will host next year's tournament on campus.
