Meet President Suresh Garimella, the U of A's newest Wildcat

Wednesday marked the start of a new era for the University of Arizona, when Suresh Garimella spent his first full day on campus as the university's 23rd president. Garimella, a mechanical engineer who previously served as president of the University of Vermont, has vowed to make students his No. 1 priority.

Suresh Garimella to start as U of A president Oct. 1

The Arizona Board of Regents has approved Suresh Garimella's contract to serve as the next U of A president. Garimella will join the Wildcat family on Oct. 1.
