University Updates: UAC and Cabinet First Meetings, Other Highlights

Spring tends to be our busiest time of year, and this year is no exception. We recently held our first meetings of the University Advisory Council and the newly reconstituted President’s Cabinet, which provided opportunities for the two groups’ members to get to know each other and begin our dialogue about important topics, including our financial action plan. I want to again thank the Council and Cabinet members, and I look forward to our ongoing engagement and collaboration to advance our University community.

University of Arizona delivers Big Game-level bucks to Tucson's economy

A study released last year revealed University of Arizona space sciences programs generate nearly as much money for the local economy every year as a Super Bowl. The report also sparked some friendly competition among the university's other units that regularly generate championship numbers for the local economy, including Tech Launch Arizona, the College of Health Sciences, FORGE and the university's international education programs.
